Boxer / Bull Mastiff

Boxers and Bullems are not that different in terms of build, coloring, shape of head and ears. If you look closely you can see the differences between the two purebreds and Kola. She has shorter legs than a Boxer, also larger feet, a longer muzzle, more 'square' top of head, a much larger rib cage, and a broader chest. Kola is approximately 20-25 lbs heavier than the average Boxer girl, and 30-35 lbs lighter than the average Bullmastiff girl. She weighed 55 lbs at 2 yrs, and gained weight steadily (in the form of muscle, much of it in the chest) in her second year. She held steady at 75 lbs after the age of 2-1/2 yrs. Kola is a "velcro" dog who can be energetic at times but is mostly quite laid back. She requires approx 2 hrs of running, playtime a day (at the dog park), but is otherwise a happy couch potato. She is friendly and tolerant with children, and cautious with strangers. Kola only barks when she is trying to play with the family cat.
